How can l recharge the LiFePO4 battery?

Modified on Sat, 19 Jul at 8:06 PM

A: There are three methods for charging, (for example to charge 12V 100Ah battery):

Solar Panels
With 300W solar panels, the battery can be fully charged in one day, given 4.5 hours of effective sunlight. If using panels rated at or above 300W, charging might take longer due to varying light conditions.

Apart from solar panels, here are two other charging methods:

Generator/Alternator
For DC output from an alternator or generator, use a DC-to-DC charger to connect to the battery. For AC output, a suitable battery charger is needed. Recommended Charging Voltage: 14.2V - 14.6V. Recommended Charging Current:

20A (0.2C): Fully charges the battery to 100% in about 5 hours.
50A (0.5C): Charges the battery to approximately 97% in about 2 hours.

LiFePO4 Dedicated Chargers
For charging a 12V battery, a 14.6V charger is recommended.
Recommended Charging Voltage: 14.2V - 14.6V. Recommended Charging Current:

20A (0.2C): Fully charges the battery to 100% in about 5 hours.
50A (0.5C): Charges the battery to approximately 97% in about 2 hours.

Note: NOCO Genius Charger does not support charging our batteries.
